Welcome to the Careers Page! Students today have many options and pathways available to them. There are pathways from school that can lead to rewarding careers. It is important to remember that people will move between pathways and are not locked into one occupation or education level. It’s easy to move from work to study, TAFE to university, or from a new apprenticeship into a long-term professional career. The Careers Program at Windsor High School aims to assist students to use information to match options and pathways to realistic career aspirations, by developing good decision making skills. The program includes individual counselling, School to Work Planning and career seminars and lessons. Students also have the opportunity to participate in work experience, Vocational Education and Training (VET) Courses at TAFE and school, enterprise education and school based traineeships and apprenticeships. Helping students make informed decisions about options and pathways is a challenge for teachers and parents. Exploring the links on this webpage is a great opportunity for students parents and teachers to find the information they need. Please don't hesitate to contact me at school (by phone, email or in person) if you would like to discuss any of the links or programs you find as you explore this site.
