Community Involvement At Windsor High School

Welcome to the Windsor High School Community.

Parent and caregiver involvement enjoys a strong tradition at Windsor High School. Participation in your child’s education and growth towards adulthood is greatly valued and an integral part of life at Windsor High School. It is just as important to your child’s future, for you to be involved in Years 7 to 12 as it is during primary school years

Here are some ways you can participate at Windsor High School, and enjoy meeting other parents and members of staff:

  • P&C activities
  • Uniform Shop
  • Trivia Night
  • Helping with sporting and cultural activities
  • Rock Eisteddfod – costumes, sets, props, canteen, fundraising, audience
  • Transport for excursions
  • Helping the school find work experience placements
  • Attending parent-teacher interviews and information nights
  • Coming along to drama productions, variety nights and school open days
  • Being a part of school committees and subject reviews

Parents & Citizens Association

Windsor High School Parents & Citizens Association is an important forum for the exchange of ideas and information on all matters associated with life at our school and the school community. Our monthly meeting is an opportunity to meet other parents and to talk with the school’s Principal, Deputy Principals and Head Teachers. As parents, our ideas and opinions are regularly sought at Windsor High School.

If you are a new parent, or already have students at Windsor High School, you are welcome to join us at P&C Meetings, which are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, school holidays excepted. We always endeavour to make them enjoyable and interesting, not too formal and always with a focus on improving the educational opportunities of our children.

We have been very proud to be able to contribute to the purchase of additional resources and equipment for use in the classrooms and general purpose areas. The P. & C. Association works in conjunction with the Student Representative Council (S.R.C.) and the school staff to identify the areas for priority funding consideration. Information regarding P. & C. activities regularly appears in the School Newsletter.

You can find out more about P&C from our 2009 team:

  • Jan Trevarthan, President
  • Mark Breeze and Alison Reifenstein, Vice Presidents
  • Rosemary Otten, Secretary
  • Jane Tanti, Treasurer

The Uniform Shop provides parents/caregivers and students with an economical and convenient way to purchase school uniform. All profit is used to purchase equiopment and resources to benefit the students and their learning at our school. So, shopping at the Uniform Shop helps in so many ways.

The shop is operated by volunteers and is open on Tuesday mornings from 8.00am to 9.00am. If you are able to help by serving in the shop, please leave your contact details with the school office. If you are able to help once or twice a term, monthly, fortnightly or weekly, your assistance would be very much appreciated.

Looking forward to meeting you at school soon!
