Roadmaster was founded by Denis Robertson in 1972. It is one of the largest meat carriers in New South Wales. Headquarters was moved to Riverstone, NSW in 1995 and has nearly 250 employees.

Denis started his career in the meat industry where he quickly realized that he needed a reliable refrigerated meat carrier. He purchased his first truck in the early 70s while not realizing it was the beginning of the company. 
Roadmaster has grown from one dodge truck to what it is today a company operating over 140 company owned prime movers, they have 180 refrigerated vans and 35 rigid trucks
 
Roadmaster now also has companies in Brisbane,  Melbourne, Canberra, Wangaratta, Innisfall, Townsville and Ayr.

Denis now plays an important part  in transport industry affairs and was elected president of the Long Distance Road Transport Association in 1989.
